Who can get a library card?

Eligibility for a library card is determined according to the following conditions:

a. Geographic. Any individual who lives, works, attends school or owns property in Chester County is eligible to apply for a CCLS library card.

b. Access PA. Through the statewide library card program (Access PA), any Pennsylvania resident who is not eligible under “a” above to apply for a CCLS library card, but who has a current PA home library card affixed with the Access PA sticker, has borrowing privileges at Easttown Library and all CCLS libraries.

c. Non-Resident Cards. Easttown Library shall issue a free non-Pennsylvania resident card to customers not eligible to receive a library card under “a” or “b” above. An Access PA sticker will not be affixed to these cards.

d. Proof of eligibility. Those applying for a library card must show current identification and proof of address acceptable to Easttown Library.

e. Age for Parental Signatures. The library card application of a child under twelve years of age must be signed by a parent or guardian. There is no age limit for eligibility for a library card.
