About our computers
Easttown has 27 computers available for public use. All of these computers run on Windows XP and have Microsoft Office 2007 Professional (Word, Excel, Picture Manager, Power Point, Publisher, Access and Paint) installed on them. With the exception of the 5 computers in Youth Services, all computers are networked to both the black and white and color printers located at the circulation desk.
The library also has free unsecured wireless internet access, use of which is governed by the Chester County Library System's Internet Acceptable Use Policy. Connections are filtered to comply with federal law. Customers must have a computer and wireless network adaptor that supports the 802.11g protocol. At the present time, there are no wireless printers available.
